Among the many other services offered and supported by Friends of DNR Search & Rescue is Lost Prevention training for children.
One of the most important tools to prevent children from becoming lost in the woods is knowledge. The Friends of DNR Search & Rescue help kids know what to do if they become separated from their families while camping or hiking in the woods. Kids learn the importance of remaining calm, hugging a tree and how to keep themselves from getting more lost.

They are watching a lost prevention video that highlights the importance of knowing what to do when you feel like you're lost.
