The Ada-hi Falls Trail is the shortest, most popular, and most accessible trail at Black Rock Mountain State Park, located in Mountain City, Georgia. Sitting high on the Eastern Continental Divide at the entrance to the park's primary camping area, this trail experienced great devastation during the outbreak of tornados on April 27-28, 2011. Portions of the trail's wooden staircase system were destroyed and trees were up-rooted alongside the trail, leaving behind huge craters. Unfortunately, the trail was left obliterated and completely inaccessible for park guests.

Join Friends and Amicalola Falls for this fundraiser in honor of Victor Maret to help find a cure and raise awareness for Pulmonary Fibrosis.  The 5K will take place Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville.

5K route consists of easy to moderate hiking trails. Beautiful North Ga scenery. A 1 mile route is also available.

Friday, September 21 was a great day for Friends of Amicalola Falls as they graciously accepted a check for $50,000 from Amicalola Electric Membership Corporation ("EMC") for restoration of the top of the falls and creek, a new utility vehicle and plans for fulfilling further maintenance needs at the park. For decades, Amicalola EMC has been a strong community partner, giving back to their communities. Their commitment to developing and improving their local communities is benefiting education and organizations, like Friends, who share their vision for improving the needs of the community.
