Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites provide great opportunities for kids to deepen their understanding of the things they are learninng in school. Georgia fourth graders, for example, will spend a good portion of this school year learning about the history of Native Americans in Georgia. Sites like Etowah Mounds, Kolomoki Mounds and New Echota can help kids see and experience the things they learn about in class.

In fact, Georgia performance standards have been reviewed and matched up to many different parks around the state where kids can learn more about their natural and cultural environment through parks and historic sites.
