Join us for the biggest volunteer day in our history! There are many different ways to get involved in Your State Parks Day.
One of the best things you can do to support your state parks and historic sites is visit them and see all the amazing things they have to offer. With camping, hiking, fishing, historical tours and more, you're sure to find an activity the whole family will love. And, on Your State Parks Day, we're paying your admission and parking fees. Here are just a few of the amazing activities you can enjoy:
To celebrate National Public Lands Day, Friends chapters across the state will be hosting service projects that you can get involved in. Families are encouraged to bring the kids and join in our efforts to take care of Georgia's greatest treasures. No matter your skills or abilities, you can join in and make a difference. In addition, volunteers on Your State Parks Day will receive a free t-shirt just for helping out. Plus, you'll also get a coupon for a discount on a future stay so you can come back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. It is a great opportunity to get involved, make a difference and enjoy all Georgia's parks and historic sites have to offer.

Even if you can't make it to a park on Your State Parks Day, you can still make a difference. If you are not currently a member, consider joining Friends. The free camping and discounts will make your membership worthwhile and, at the same time, you'll be making a difference. Please also consider making a tax-deductible donation to our organization or to your local chapter. Your donations help support our efforts on Your State Parks Day and beyond. Here are just a few examples of what we have accomplished with your generous donations as part of our Chapters in Action program.
