Faces of Friends

Vogel-volunteer.jpg

Vogel State Park is more than programs and forest.  It’s a family of employees and volunteers that cooperate to make it one of Georgia’s most beloved state park. Keith and David are just two members of this "family" who generously give of their time to make Vogel a better place.

Not only are these two men dedicated to helping the park, but they work behind the scenes to make guest experiences comfortable and inviting. Keith and David come to the park every week to clean the park restrooms and occasionally help with the cottages as well.  Keith has accumulated over 2,000 hours of volunteer service at Vogel State Park and David recently hit his 500th hour mark.

While the volunteers and staff share a wonderful camaraderie and often feel like family, some of these folks actually are! Dale's wife and Keith's wife both work at the park and recently Dale's mother started to come volunteer as well.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who are making a difference to keep Georgia's state parks beautiful, safe places for everyone!
