Our Volunteer Heroes

Friends of Kolomoki, through the Passport Grant program, recently came together to repair footbridges along the hiking trails—replacing worn boards and reinforcing sections of the path. Their efforts help keep the trails in good condition for everyone to enjoy. Join a Friends group, and be part of the difference—volunteer today and help our parks grow and thrive.

Fall Into Fun

This fall, Georgia's State Parks are packed with fun activities for the whole family. Campers can learn the basics at Red Top Mountain, and guests can become campfire chefs over an open flame at Don Carter. Hunt for hidden treasures during a Eye Spy Scavenger Hunt at F.D. Roosevelt, or enjoy an Autumn Scavenger Hunt at Chattahoochee Bend. Lace up for the 5K Trail Race at Watson Mill Bridge, or unwind with  live tunes at Vogel. Dance along to jazz under the stars at the Harvest Moon Festival at Hardman Farm, or sample food and shop vendors at the Autumn Bazaar at Laura S. Walker. Come out and enjoy the crisp air, colorful leaves, and community spirit at a park this month.
