Friends of Fort McAllister and Friends of Fort Morris made a big impact at Coast Fest by bringing living history to thousands of visitors. Working together, the two Friends groups shared educational demonstrations at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick that gave visitors a closer look at Georgia’s coastal history. Their efforts showcase the power of Friends groups and the role volunteers play in preserving and sharing the stories that make these places so special.
