December 2025
Our Volunteer Heroes

Friends of General Coffee are helping this South Georgia park shine. From hosting the Pioneer Harvest Festival and reenactments to sprucing up trails and tackling hands-on projects, their efforts are evident throughout the park. The bathhouse in Campground 2 recently got a fresh coat of paint, giving it a clean and refreshed look for visitors. These efforts reflect the heart of what Friends groups do best—working together to make great parks even better. Join a Friends group and be part of the difference—volunteer today and help our parks grow and thrive.

Cup Of Cheer
Santa, I Know Him!

Santa is making his rounds through Georgia's State Parks this December, and you won't want to miss a moment of the magic. Climb aboard a holiday wagon ride at Hard Labor Creek, or stroll through a magical light-filled park with jolly friends at Kolomoki Mounds. Roast marshmallows and share your wishlist by the fire at High Falls, or delight in holiday stories and sweets during Christmas on the Farm at General Coffee. Snap a photo with Santa and enjoy cocoa at Mistletoe, or join the Christmas open house at Amicalola Falls for holiday tales, crafts, and festive treats. Enjoy breakfast with Santa at Little Ocmulgee, or hop on the Holiday train with Santa at Sam Shortline. Make merry memories with Santa in the great outdoors before he dashes away for Christmas Eve!
