Friends volunteers at New Echota State Historic Sites have been hard at work! From Your State Parks Day to Authors Day along with planting fall flowers and enjoying the changing colors of the season, Friends have been working hard to make this Cherokee Indian site truly remarkable for all visitors. Friends have also been supporting this site with the influx of school children visiting. Field trip provide a marvelous opportunity to learn about the significance of New Echota and the importance of historic preservation.
We would like to extend our very special "thanks" to all those who have volunteered with Friends over these past few months to make all of these projects and programs successful! Please enjoy Friends of New Echota's latest chapter newsletter for more details regarding their latest accomplishments.
