Sweetwater Creek Lantern Tour

Join us for our next candlelit adventure on Saturday, October 17th, beginning promptly at 6:30 PM. The hike starts from the parking lot in front of the Visitor’s Center at 1750 Mt. Vernon Rd., Lithia Springs, GA 30122.

This moderate, one-mile round-trip guided hike follows the Red Trail down to the interior of the historic New Manchester Mill Ruins. Adult participants will be provided with a candle lantern (for individuals 13 years and older), while children (ages 6 to 12) will receive a battery-powered LED lantern to light the way.

Important Information:

• Cost: $10 per person
• Parking: $10 daily ParkPass required (free with annual pass)
• Age Requirement: Participants must be 6 years or older
• Footwear: No open-toed shoes
• Pets: No pets allowed.
• Duration: Approximately 2 hours
• Capacity: Limited to 55 participants
• You must sign the liability waiver to participate

Online registration will close at 12:00 PM (Noon) on the day of the hike or once the event reaches capacity. If the event does not sell out, remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the registration table adjacent to the parking lot.

IMPORTANT: When registering, please ensure that you do not register multiple individuals with the same name. Each participant must be registered with their name.

Please note: The park gate closes at 7:00 PM, which is when the hike leaves the starting point. The event may be cancelled in case of a rainy forecast, and refunds will be issued.
