Black Rock Parkway - Adopt-a-Road Cleanup

Registration is closed for this event
Help “beautify” Black Rock Parkway on MLK Day! Black Rock Buddies and Foxfire adopted Black Rock Parkway in 2019. We haven’t done a clean-up since 2020, due to the pandemic. Meet at the intersection of Black Rock Parkway and Taylors Chapel at 9:00 AM. Pickers and Trash Bags provided.

Note: This event has been rescheduled due to inclement weather from MLK Day to March 19th. Regardless, MLK Day is a national day of service. Help clean up Black Rock Parkway, the main access to our local treasures - Black Rock Mountain State Park and Foxfire Museum and Heritage Center.

We'll meet at the intersection of Black Rock Parkway and Taylors Chapel, divide into groups and collect trash along the road. Vests, pickers and garbage bags are provided. Dress appropriately and bring gloves. Water and a light snack will be provided.
