Friends volunteers at F.D. Roosvelt State Park and working with park staff to help make this season’s events fun for the whole family! 

American Frontier Days
Saturday, Mar 12, 2016 10 AM to 5 PM
Sunday, Mar 13, 2016 10 AM to 3 PM
Explore mid 1700s to the late 1800s frontier life as you talk to soldiers, meet trappers or throw a tomahawk! Demonstrators and local historians will show you unique skill common to 18th century life.  Donations appreciated. Friends members park free; $5 parking non-member/Pass holder. 706-663-4858.

Annual Luncheon with Eleanor Roosevelt
Saturday, Mar 19, 2016 11 AM to 12:30 PM
Enjoy a wonderful lunch with Eleanor Roosevelt as we have an old-fashioned picnic similar to the afternoons that she would enjoy with President Roosevelt at Dowedells Knob. Enjoy history coming to life with this interactive, entertaining event. Learn more about women’s roles for the time and enjoy a sandwich fare. 
Special thanks to local historian, Nancy Simko, for portraying Mrs. Roosevelt.
Register for lunch today by calling 706-663-4858. This event is $10 per person. Friends members will enjoy free parking; $5 parking non-members/ParkPass holders. 

Egg Decorating Contest

Enjoy Easter celebrations with an egg decorating contest! Enter your hardboiled or blown egg for prizes. There are separate categories for youth and adult. Register today by calling 706-663-4858 or stop by the park office for details.
