September 28, 2024, is Your State Parks Day! In celebration of National Public Lands Day, Friends invites its members, donors, supporters, and frankly, everyone else, to come out to show your support for your state parks.

Nearly every Georgia State Park will offer a volunteer opportunity on this day, giving you a chance to give back and help care for these treasured resources. Across the state, our volunteers are prepared to assist with efforts focusing on habitats and preserving heritage, including pollinator conservation, trail maintenance, park beautification, and historic site preservation.

We also hope you'll take a moment to appreciate the beauty and history of these important places.
