Frontier Day is coming to New Echota. Join Friends of New Echota on Saturday, Oct 20 for a day of experiencing early 19th century life. Volunteers will be on site demonstrating candle making, Dutch oven cooking, historic weaponry, pine needle basket making, spinning, weaving, newspaper printing, deer hide processessing and more! You can even see what games pioneer children would enjoy playing.

From 10:00am to 2:00pm in the Court House, Sacred Harp Singers will be sharing their talents. Come watch a watercolor artist, hear the storytelling, or just sit and enjoy the incredible sounds of the dulcimers. ¬

There is a small admission fee for the day. For more information, please call 706-624-1321 or visit www.friendsofnewechota.org. You can also visit this chapter on Facebook. Step back in time on October 20th for an unforgettable day of history and fun! We'll see you there.
