Your State Parks Day was a day of beautification for Laura Walker State Park. This Friends Chapter partnered with area church youth groups to make a difference. Not only was this a cleanup day for this park, but the youth who contributed learned how to use various landscaping tools, including a brush axe, a sling-blade, and hedge clippers.
Thanks to Friends of Laura Walker, Friends of Georgia State Parks, and the local Dunkin' Donuts, everyone enjoyed tasty refreshments after a long day's work. Thank you to all the youth groups, volunteers, and contributors that worked together to make this day such a success! Make sure to visit this Friends chapter and their favorite site to see all the hard work they've accomplished!
