Text2Give

dgmsampleYou can now offer your guests another way to give to your chapter!  Increasing in popularity since major donation campaigns over the past few years, text to give offers your guests the ability to make a donation to your chapter right from their cell phone!

How does it work?

A guest sends a text message from their cell phone to 52000 with the appropriate keywords for your chapter.  Once they confirm the donation via reply text message, $10 is added to their cell phone bill or deducted from their prepaid balance as a donation.  It is that simple!

How much do we make?

Chapters will receive $7.50 from each donation made in their name.  $2.50 is retained by State Friends to partially cover the cost of the program.  State Friends will issue you a check as part of your normal revenue sharing once we receive the payment from our provider.

How do we participate?

Below are links to signs that you can use on your site.  Simply print them and then work with your site manager to determine appropriate locations.  We suggest placing the signs near areas where people are engaging with your site in a meaningful way.  Also, make sure to have a few extra signs displayed at special events sponsored by the chapter.  That's all there is to it!

Can we create our own sign?

Yes.  However, you must be sure to use the exact phrases that appear on the signs linked below.  You must say, for example, "Text SUPPORT HOFWYL to 52000" for the process to work.  You also MUST display the legal disclaimer found in the bottom left of the signs linked below.  Failure to display the disclaimer may result in the cancellation of the program by our vendor.  As such, all custom signs need to be approved by State Friends prior to use.

We hope this will add another effective tool for you to use in raising funds for your chapter and will make it easier for guests to give on the spot!
