Fall is fast approaching and the Hike and Paddle dates at Chattahoochee Bend State Park are on the calendar. Join us for a 5.5 mile hike up the Riverside Trail followed by a 60-90 minute paddle down the Chattahoochee. The trail is shaded as it meanders along the river and fields headed to our North Platform. We will stop by the lookout tower on the way, pass a few Geocache sites and watch for wildlife. Boats are available to rent for $20, single or double. Bringing your own kayak is an option. Parking fee is $5 if you do not have an annual pass. The Hike and Paddle event is $20/person and is lead by the Friends of Chattahoochee Bend volunteers. Pre-registration is required, call 770-254-7271.
