Friends of Red Top Mountain State Park teamed up with park staff for an event that allowed visitors to learn about spotting scopes and binoculars. After the lesson, we got to watch the Osprey Nest. We were fortunate to see the parent feed the month-old chick high atop the Bethany Bridge. The new spotting scope provided by the Friends volunteers allowed visitors to see the family up close—more programs like this to come.
